Maxppp /Landov Another day, another paparazzi-hounded walk to the car for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Still willing to show their faces after not abiding the celebrity news gods and tying the knot the same weekend Jennifer Aniston got engaged, the couple were seen visiting a toy store in the French coastal town of Le Touquet on Saturday after having lunch with the four youngest members of their brood.
Pitt and Jolie, who has been shooting Maleficent (featuring daughter Vivienne in a small role) in London, have kept a relatively low public profile since the media went into wedding-watch overdrive.

On this family Saturday in France, Jolie, Pitt, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne ordered up a round of pizzas at Au Bureau restaurant before heading to Culture Kid for a shopping spree.
When all was said and paid for, according to People, the lucky kids' loot included dinosaur figurines, dolls, Barbie clothes and rubber stamps.
And while Jolie and Pitt remain engaged but not married in Europe, someone with the couple's best interests in mind thought to board up the family's home in New Orleans to guard against damage from Hurricane Isaac, which touched down in Louisiana tonight.

Lohan banned from top hotel

The bills racked up at the Chateau Marmont - where John Belushi died from an overdose in 1982 - included $US3145.07 in mini-bar charges for 47 days spent there in June and July, celebrity news website TMZ reported.
The actress, who was shooting a TV film about the romance between Hollywood legends Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, also spent $US686 on cigarettes during her stay, buying 49 packs at $US14 dollars each.
"I regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to extend any further credit for you to remain in the hotel," wrote manager Philip Pavel in a letter dated July 31.
"Furthermore until we get the matter of your outstanding debt paid, know that we will be unable to host you on property or in the restaurant," he added in the letter, published by TMZ.
TMZ said Lohan had told friends that she expected producers of Liz and Dick to pay the bill, and was shocked to be banned from the hotel. The producers, Lifetime, did not immediately comment.
The hotel, which has seen dramas involving everyone from Jim Morrison to F. Scott Fitzgerald over the decades, voiced regret that the matter had become public - but said it believed the letter was leaked by Lohan's people.
"Chateau Marmont places guest privacy as a core value and upholds this privacy with paramount importance," said a management statement.
"After investigation, it appears that a private correspondence between Chateau Marmont's general manager and Miss Lohan was leaked by a member of her entourage.
"We are as horrified, disappointed and troubled by this occurrence as Miss Lohan surely is. Obviously, this is a private matter between one of our guests and the hotel and we will continue to treat it as such."
A spokesman for Lohan, Steve Honig, declined to comment.
It comes as TMZ also reported that Lohan would not be prosecuted for the theft of more than $US100,000 in sunglasses and watches stolen from her friend Sam Magid's party on August 20.
Lohan took to Twitter to hit back at "lies" being told about her involvement in the theft.
''Whenever I'm doing great, people fabricate lies,'' she wrote. ''It's such a shame.''
Her friend Lady Gaga also made light of the incident on Twitter in a tweet to Lohan, with whom she recently stayed with at Chateau Marmont.
Under a photo of Lohan wearing a pair of fancy earrings, Gaga wrote ''@lindsaylohan ummmm are those my earrings??? this is awkward....;) kiss kiss chateau bunny."
Lohan has in recent months started to put her life back on track following years of legal and other problems.
After a promising early start as a child actress, the star of The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday became known chiefly as a hell-raising celebrity with substance abuse problems and frequent brushes with the law.
In March, a Los Angeles judge formally ended Lohan's probation after a long string of court appearances, but told her to "stop the nightclubbing" and behave more maturely.

So Lindsay Lohan isn't going back to the slammer, but she's not going back to one of Hollywood's hottest hotels either.
In other hot celebrity news: A Girl Next Door is expecting, Kim Kardashian's trying on mysterious white dresses, and her younger brother denies he's been caught in a love triangle.
• Lindsay Lohan had been staying out of trouble, which means she hasn't been plastered all over the tabloids for the last few months. But things sure did turn around fast! This week, the star managed to find herself involved in yet another jewelry heist. Luckily, thanks to a couple big breaks, Lohan won't be charged for the $100,000 in "missing" watches and designer shades. That means she won't be going back to the slammer. Whew.
However, she wasn't as lucky when it came to one of Hollywood's hottest hotels, the Chateau Marmont. TMZ obtained a stern letter from the hotspot's general manager to the star, which asks her (again) to settle the $46,350.04 bill she racked up over her extended stay this summer.
So, how, exactly, does one rack up nearly $50,000 in charges over 47 days? Well, her 16-page itemized bill was included in the note! Check out a few of the highlights:
- Minibar charges: $3,145.07
- Cigarettes: $686 (49 packs, to be exact)
- Chateau Candle: $100
- iPhone Charger: $40
- Garden Charges (whatever that means): $281.39 on June 16 alone
Hotel manager Philip Pavel was also sure to include the fact that the actress was no longer welcome at the hotel or at Bar Marmont, the swanky nightclub/restaurant attached to it. Burn! The note also asked Lohan to please remove all of her belongings by August 1, but apparently she's yet to pay up or move out.
UPDATE: TMZ reports Lohan says she hasn't paid the bill because she thought the Liz & Dick producers were covering her tab at the hotel while she filmed the Lifetime flick. The actress is supposedly sorting things out with producers and the hotel at the moment.

Door star, who was Hef's No. 1 girlfriend for years, is expecting her first child with beau Pasquale Rotella. The reality TV star and party promoter have been dating for about nine months and are excited to start a family.

• Kim isn't the only Kardashian 
courting two! At the same time! He was rumored to be dating British singer Rita Ora beginning in February, and then he spent his entire Saturday with Rihanna last weekend. Love triangle, perhaps? Well, not according to Rob.
He said "Rihanna's a friend," and explained: "We all went out to celebrate our friend's birthday. It was fun. It was a good night."
As for his relationship with Ora, he added: "I'm just a fan. That's all. I'm a big fan." That definitely explains the fake tattoos of each other's names.
• One thing we've learned from reality TV divorces: Two can play that game. On Tuesday, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof filed for divorce and husband Dr. Paul Nassif followed suit. The couple has been married for 10 years and have three children together.
• Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are engaged, but they're not married yet, even though they're in France and just a stone's throw away from a 16th-century chapel that would be the perfect place to exchange vows. Sorry, guys.

If you read Jodie Foster‘s essay about Kristen Stewart on TheDailyBeast.com today, we’re sure you were alternately shaking and nodding your head. She is so eloquent as she describes how she’s survived her 46 years as an actress with a private life intact: “I have neurotically adapted to the gladiator sport of celebrity culture, the cruelty of a life lived as a moving target.” And admits that if she were a young actor in today’s climate, she’d probably just up and quit. Then she laments how the happy-go-lucky 11-year-old Kristen Stewart she knew while making Panic Room now has to dodge paparazzi at every turn. “The young woman doesn’t cry. F— no. She doesn’t look up. She’s learned. She keeps her head down, her shades on, fists in her pockets. Don’t speak. Don’t look. Don’t cry.” God, how sad is that image! We agree with you, Jodie! We can’t wait until she can hold her head high again, and “spin in wild abandon.”
But hold on a second. Is that really what we want. Putting aside for a second the fact that celebrity gossip is my living, I just want to think about what entertainment would be like if we knew absolutely nothing about our stars besides their names and what other movies they’re in. Would a heartwrenching scene be just as moving without the knowledge of what kind of joy or sorrow the actor is drawing from in real life? On one level, yes. I’ve enjoyed plenty of foreign movies, for instance, about whose stars I’m completely ignorant.
But there is one thing definitely missing from that experience: When I don’t feel connected to a performer on a personal level of some kind, I don’t feel driven to seek out the next projects — or whatever came before the first thing that caught my attention. In short, I appreciate their talent without becoming a fan. I’m not suggesting that every star needs to let me into their bedrooms and diaries, to let us throw stones at them when they sin, mind you. But when we get to know them as people, there’s a deeper connection that lives on after the credits roll. Do you agree?
Fake Video of Lindsay Lohan Buying Drugs Likely Is Defamatory
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge is set to rule soon that if you approach Lindsay Lohan on a street and hand her a bag of mysterious stones and crystals, that doesn't automatically give the paparazzi a right to photograph the event and present you as her cocaine dealer.
That's essentially what X-17, a celebrity news and photo service, was sued for in April.

The lawsuit came from Peter Dice, a Los Angeles drug counselor, who alleged he had been defamed when X-17 posted a video on its website that quickly went viral in an article titled, "Lindsay Lohan Makes a Purchase in Venice."
X-17 attempted to persuade a judge to drop the lawsuit on First Amendment grounds, but after a hearing Friday, the judge appears to be leaning toward handing the plaintiff a big victory.
According to the original complaint, Dice says he bumped into Lohan and her friend in front of a Venice Beach pub in August 2011. Dice handed her a bag of "healing crystals," which he says are a legal alternative healing medicine. Her friend whispered "cocaine" in Spanish, and Lohan handed the bag back.
The interaction was caught on videotape.
X-17 then posted the video and wrote: "At one point, Lindsay can be seen taking a bag from a friend. Her friend checks out the contents of the bag, and eventually Lindsay takes a different bag from another guy and hands over cash to pay for it."
After X-17 and its president and founder Francois Navarre refused requests by Lohan and Dice to retract the story, Dice sued for slander, libel, invasion of privacy (false light), violations of his publicity rights and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
In response, X-17's lawyers brought an anti-SLAPP motion, arguing that the lawsuit was stifling free speech.
STORY: Lindsay Lohan in Talks to Join 'Scary Movie 5'
To decide whether the lawsuit survives, the judge has to look at two factors. Both were addressed in a tentative ruling heading into Friday's hearing.
The first is whether the causes of action arise from protected activity in furtherance of the defendants' constitutional right of free speech in connection with an issue of public interest.
On this factor, X-17 wins. The judge is set to accept the celebrity news agency's argument that Lohan is a world-famous public figure who is closely associated with substance abuse problems, and just because X-17 is a tabloid, that doesn't deprive it of First Amendment protection to report on something that the public cares about.
In light of that determination, Dice must then show a probability of prevailing on his claims before his lawsuit goes any further.
Here, X-17 is not so lucky.
The agency argued that Dice was a "limited-purpose public figure" because of his association with Lohan. If the judge accepted this, it would mean that Dice would need to show X-17 acted with actual malice, something that would no doubt be tough to demonstrate.
But, in the tentative ruling, the judge wouldn't give X-17 this legal gift.
"A plaintiff's trivial or tangential participation in the public controversy is not enough," says the judge. "The plaintiff must have ‘thrust [himself or herself] to the forefront' of a public controversy, becoming a factor in the ultimate resolution of it."
The judge continues with one of the best lines ever in a defamation case. He says, "Approaching Lindsay Lohan on a busy public street, in front of paparazzi, with a bag containing a crystalline substance can be fairly characterized as a regrettable decision -- but not one which transformed Plaintiff into a limited-purpose public figure."

The judge is set to throw out the publicity rights claim but keep the others, having determined that Dice has "sufficiently established" that X-17 and Navarre "negligently" published the disputed video and article.
The case isn't quite over, as X-17 argued that even without being able to avail itself of a no-actual-malice defense, the celebrity news agency still can show there was no actionable statements made in the article -- in other words, that it was all opinion and no fact. In the tentative ruling, the judge wasn't ready to address that. But after taking everything under advisement following Friday's hearing, that issue might be addressed soon.

Kristen Stewart Banned From Robert Pattinson's 'Cosmopolis' Movie Premiere
According to multiple celebrity news sites, Robert Pattinson is not dealing with Kristen Stewart's lack of judgment very well.
He had gone in seclusion, he wouldn't take her phone calls until recently, and now, according to Perez Hilton, he has banned her from stepping foot at his premiere of "Cosmopolis."
Ouch. That's got to hurt.
According to PerezHilton.com, a source close to Pattinson said that "security was briefed and they were told that Kristen is not allowed anywhere near the red carpet or the after party."
The premiere is around the corner on Aug. 13.
According to RadarOnline.com, the film's bosses also don't want the drama, and especially don't want their fighting or break-up distracting the public from the movie.
Multiple sources confirm Pattinson will indeed be at the premiere.
